Shelly Flood S Gen4 is an ultra-compact, puck-shaped smart water leak sensor, designed to catch leaks exactly at their source before they cause catastrophic damage. Unlike its larger sibling, which uses an extended cable, the "S" (Spot) version is only 23 mm high, allowing it to slide easily underneath washing machines, dishwashers, water heaters, and into tight corners.

It is equipped with an IP67 water resistance rating and unique, large-surface stainless steel sensor pads. It is designed to detect even low-conductivity liquids, such as distilled water or air conditioning condensate, which cheaper sensors often overlook.

Key Features

• Spot detection with three pads: On the underside, there are three massive stainless steel pads that trigger an alarm the moment they touch water. Its high sensitivity ensures it quickly detects clean, low-conductivity water (such as HVAC condensate).

• True multi-protocol connectivity: Out of the box, it supports Wi-Fi 6, Zigbee 3.0, Bluetooth 5 (LE), and Matter-over-Wi-Fi. With a simple 5-press button sequence, the device switches from the native Matter/Wi-Fi profile to the Zigbee profile for maximum mesh flexibility.

• Dual operation modes: It can be set to "flood detection" (triggering the built-in buzzer in case of indoor water leaks) or "rain detection" (silently logging state changes when wet, which is perfect for outdoor automations such as closing smart roof windows when it starts to rain).

• Three alarm profiles: Customize how aggressively the sensor reports a leak to balance response time with battery life. You can choose between Intense (continuous reporting), Normal, or Economic profiles.

• 100% local control: Fully supports MQTT, UDP, and Webhooks. It can be paired directly with a smart water valve in your local network to automatically shut off the main water supply to your home without the connection ever routing through a cloud server.

• IP67 water resistance: The tightly sealed plastic casing is completely dustproof and protected against temporary immersion in water, meaning the sensor will easily survive the puddle it is meant to detect.
