Shelly Leak Sensor Cable is an innovative accessory for the Shelly Flood Gen4 smart sensor, designed for advanced water detection. Unlike traditional spot sensors that detect water only when it reaches the device itself, this smart cable detects moisture or leaks along its entire length. This allows for continuous and much more effective protection of critical areas where leaks might otherwise go unnoticed for a long time.

Key Features

• Linear water detection: Detects the presence of water anywhere along the entire length of the cable, enabling immediate alerts and the prevention of major property damage.

• Modular scalability: The base cable is 2 meters long, but its biggest advantage is the option for daisy-chaining. Multiple cables can be connected in a chain to protect an area with a total length of up to 150 meters.

• Flexible installation: Due to its thin and flexible design, it is ideal for installation in hard-to-reach places – such as along pipes, around basement perimeters, under dishwashers or washing machines, and behind large household appliances.

• Seamless integration: Connects directly to the Shelly Flood Gen4 sensor port. When the cable detects water, the sensor immediately triggers an alarm and sends a notification via the Shelly Smart Control app, allowing you to automatically shut off the main water valve using smart automations.

• Rain detection: For outdoor use (provided the main sensor unit is properly protected from direct precipitation), the cable can be used to detect rain and automatically trigger the closing of outdoor awnings or garden furniture covers.
